Luke Fisher BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
Luke is Director and co-owner of Physiotherapy Essex Ltd. Luke qualified in 2010 from the University of Hertfordshire with a 2:1 degree in chartered Physiotherapy. During this time he gained some experience with teams such as Saracens, Watford, Tottenham and Arsenal FC as part of his training. He went straight into the football physio world and was employed as part of the physiotherapy Team at Southend United where he worked for 3 consecutive seasons. He now directs and works in clinics across Essex specialising in musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. Luke is a keen footballer and had a short football career. After spending 5 years in the non-league game with Heybridge Swifts FC and having opportunities to move into professional football, his career was ended by injury and now he uses his enthusiasm for sport to help others with their injuries.
Ian is Director and co-owner of Physiotherapy Essex Ltd. Ian qualified in 2010 at UWE Bristol with 2:1 honours degree. He completed junior rotations for 2.5 years at Basildon University Hospital. He has worked in private clinics in Victoria and Richmond in London for 6 months. He has a special interest in acupuncture within physiotherapy. Outside of physiotherapy Ian is an avid rugby player and represented England Colleges U18s. He is currently Westcliff RFC 1st XV captain.
Ian’s main role is to further develop the business to improve patient experience.
Paul is Director and co-owner of Physiotherapy Essex Ltd. Paul Timson was previously Head Physiotherapist at Crystal Palace Football Club until leaving in 2009 to work solely in private practice. He previously worked at West Ham United and Gillingham Football Clubs and also has extensive experience in both NHS and private sector hospitals, as well as in private practice. He has worked on many high profile charity and TV projects and has treated a number of big-name individuals from the world of professional sport and TV. He specialises in sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, acupuncture and orthopaedics. Paul is a trained disability analyst.
Michael joined our team of Physiotherapists in September 2016. He has previous experience in the NHS in various fields including pain management, orthopaedics and musculoskeletal services. He has worked with elite athletes including a world powerlifting champion. He is competent in acupuncture, manipulation, soft tissue techniques and rehabilitation. He looks forward to meeting and assisting you in the future.
James has over 20 years’ experience in physiotherapy and was formerly the Physiotherapy Manager of Southend Hospitals Outpatient Department.
Sonya joined Physiotherapy Essex in February 2017, after leaving behind a career in finance. She is a vital member of the team and works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the clinic running smoothly. She manages the daily operational running and financing administration within the company as well as keeping the practitioners in check which cannot be underestimated.
Carol has worked for Physiotherapy Essex for 5 years now, she is a key member of the team and has helped build the clinic in the time she has been here, the clinic gets great feedback due to her hard-working attitude and patient-centred approach. Her main duties as practice administrator include answering the phone, booking clients in for their appointments, and dealing with enquires from Insurance and Occupational Health Departments Providers, as well as other basic admin duties.
